What could go wrong ?

The aroma isn’t bad, hop malt, it’s like bread yeast. It’s not that good either.

It is a nice golden colour in the glass, and a foamy head, it looks ok too!

5.0 OriginalTo be fair it’s not bad beer either. It’s not great beer either.

The taste profile is very familiar as a lager type malty type beer. According to the label it has barley, malt and hops, and water.

I’m this far into a beer I thought I’d be grimacing at and I’m thinking I could go another. It has been a long day, I probably don’t mean it.

Quaffable though.

The pdubyah-o-meter rates this as 6 a of its things from the thing. It’s above average and it is a nice beer, a beer for sitting around with and telling lies.

The double dip review

  1. Am I enjoying it? I am!
  2. Would I have another? I would!
  3. Would I share with a friend on a porch and set the world to rights? I’d have no issues with cracking one of these with a friend and making up some outrageous statements. There is a simpleness in this that should be enjoyed.

Listening to an old Bruce Springsteen album, “The Ghost of Tom Joad” the eleventh studio album, and the second acoustic album. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the title track

I was kidding about it being dubious if you had noticed that, otherwise it would stuff the alliteration.

Dortmunder/Helles

These two styles are closely related, the former hailing from Dortmund and the latter from Bavaria. Both are slightly strong (5.0-5.6%), malt-accented pale lagers. The cookie-like or bready maltiness should be very much in evidence in a traditional example. These beers are clean and easy to drink in quantity. Some Dortmunders made in Denmark and the Netherlands are stronger.
