I finally made it to the a bottle store in Milford on the North Shore of Auckland. And what a treat, it has the most amazing selection of spirits and Wines, and craft beers. So it was hard to go past something new.
Mack Ølbryggeri make the Mack Arctic Beer in 🇳🇴 Tromsø, Norway as a Pale Lager – American with an ABV of 4.5%, this should be 1.8 standard drinks in NZ
It’s a lovely looking pour of beer, Golden bright and with that lovely head that makes me smile.
It is exactly like it should be, a Pale Lager, with some taste but it’s not made out to be anything other than a decent well made Lager for the masses.
It was cold from the fridge, I’d dome some exercise and it was wonderful to drink.
Arctic Beer from Mack is the worlds most arctic beer. It was the first beer to reach the North Pole on a surface expedition, together with a Norwegian expedition team.
For a truly arctic experience, close your eyes and imagine the northern lights and the snow-capped mountains of Northern Norway while enjoying an ice-cold Arctic Beer.
The Pdubyah-o-meter rates this as 7 on the arbitrary number scale. What else can I tell you, it’s not horrible it’s a Pale Lager, but it’s made far far away from me, and it’s been to the North Pole, not this can of course, but similar. This one didn’t take me there, or to heaven.
Herevana beers are those I drink at home, I’m not at some beer festival, like, for instance, Beervana, but am just in my kitchen, usually, dining room table, sometimes, or outside, occasionally, where I can take an average picture and write in real time about the beer that I’ve invested in, both in a monetary and emotional way.
