A life just as ordinary

Just like you, but different

Herevana – Bach Brewing – Wandering IPL

Bach Brewing Wandering IPL  – An IPL, there are never enough IPL beers. Over hopped lagers, ideal.

Bach Brewing Ltd make the Bach Brewing Wandering IPL- in Auckland, 🇳🇿 New Zealand, and it is in the style that is best as Pale Lager – Hoppy / India (IPL)  with an ABV of  6.0% and  25 IBU.

This jumped to the front of all the others beers in the fridge, I only picked it up a few hours ago.

It does in truth smell more like a pale ale than a lager when you open it.

Glorious golden pour of a beer with a fluffy white head, it looks the part.

It is indeed quite hoppy. And it is quite crisp too. Too often you use the word ‘refreshing’ but this is a bit of that, the clean drinking sparkles across the palette, but gives up a large amount of tasty as it does so. The grassy hops in this are bold but not assertive and they accompany a lovely fullness.

It rather nice, unusual to have, and really enjoyable to have.

The Pdubyah-o-meter rates this as a pass on the arbitrary number scale. This is like the best of both worlds. You get a lovely and generous hop flavour with a lovely crisp clean carry and a lovely finish. A really enjoyable beer that I drank rather quickly .

Herevana beers are those I drink at home, I’m not at some beer festival, like, for instance, Beervana, but am just in my kitchen, usually, dining room table, sometimes, or outside, occasionally, where I can take an average picture and write in real time about the beer that I’ve invested in, both in a monetary and emotional way.

Philip himself.

We’ve been on the hops again … pontificating the opportunity to couple the clean crisp refreshment of a lager style beer, with the big bold hops of an IPA.

Brewed with a bottom fermented yeast and loaded with juicy hops; Mosaic, Citra, Nectaron, Motueka, Idaho 7, and with an extended conditioning. It’s an India Pale Lager.
