Herevana – Alice – Strawberry and Vanilla
That’s correct, sometimes it’s not all about beer, sometimes it’s new things. This time it’s about Alice Hard Brewed Tea – The one with Strawberry and Vanilla – the 4th of the Four that I recently brought.
A 330ml bottle of alcohol Tea at 5% – making this 1.3 standard drinks in NZ. Alice is a Premium Tea Brewing company based in beautiful Pokeno – just south of the Bombay Hill.
There’s a Strawberry aroma and pour like golden Champagne.
Once again I find that the fruit part of this is quite restrained and muted, and it could probably do with the suggested addition of some Lime or Mint to fresh this up a bit.
The Pdubyah-o-meter rates this as 7 on the arbitrary scale. I wanted this one to carry a lot more of the Strawberry than it does, that and the Vanilla bring a lot of sweetness that makes this quite quaffable, but for me it lacks punch and lustre.

Herevana beers are those I drink at home, I’m not at some beer festival, like, for instance, Beervana, but am just in my kitchen, usually, dining room table, sometimes, or outside, occasionally, where I can take an average picture and write in real time about the beer that I’ve invested in, both in a monetary and emotional way.

BLACK TEA – STRAWBERRY & VANILLA
A mix of the finest Ceylon and Indian teas paired with vanilla and strawberry. The sweetest of the teas in our range. However if you want to mix it up a little, add a wedge of lime or bruise some mint leaves and add it to your glass.
