a 330ml wide opening can, 6.2% and 45 IBU of a beer, making it 1.6 standard drinks.
Brewed by Behemoth Brewing Company in the style that is India Pale Ale (IPA) and they’re in Auckland, New Zealand
I want to roll with the Gangstas.
But oh well, I’m just too white and nerdy.
White not so Nerdy
If I drink this beer will I start talking about the alpha and beta acid contents of these new German hops ? Possibly, so get beer nerdy in the extreme and whiter than sour cream.
Enjoy this hoppy White IPA with the AV club, glee club or even your chess team.
Holy cow, I’m white and nerdy.
So, What could possibly go wrong?
Really loud crack from the wide open can, and a burst of fruity hoppy aroma issues forth.
These cans are designed to drink from like a glass, but I’ve poured mine in a glass and it’s golden hazy orange, with a small fleeting head. That and a really big aroma!
Splendid. Lovely bitterness, full mouthfeel lovely dry finish in the middle back of the tongue, it’s really enjoyable.
A beer with a lot of flavour in it, not unusual, but these are sweet and tropical mostly and it’s a beer that quick easy quaffing, which is both good and bad.
The pdubyah-o-meter rates this as 8 of its things from the thing. It is indeed ‘very good’ on the arbitrary scale of things nicely balanced, well behaved, easy going with lots to see you in the game with the aroma and developing hop character.
The double dip review
- Where did I get it? Liquorland in Forrest Hill, but it’ll be in good beer places.
- Am I enjoying it? Yes indeed
- Would I have another? I would, it’s on the money.
- Would I share with a friend on a porch and set the world to rights? I might, this is an IPA (White) that looks nice and surprises with the amount of tropical and hop notes that are packed in and keep giving.

INDIA PALE ALE & IPA
India Pale Ale gets its name and unique style from British brewers who were making beer for export to India. This style has an intense hop flavor which was used to preserve the beer for the long voyage. India Pale Ale has a golden to copper color with a medium maltiness and body. The aroma is moderate to very strong. IPAs work especially well at cutting the heat of chili, vindaloo or Sichuan cuisine.
A life just as ordinary 
Good review, but for me the music for this would have to be Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘White & Nerdy’!

you are absolutely correct but I couldn’t just bring myself to do it. I will however give it a go tomorrow morning, and I’ll probably enjoy it too.
